Let me think, And think a little bit more Wait, a tad bit more Because that is what I do Think about things Small and big Important and vain Think till every nerve brain heats up And then I listen to John Denver And sleep And I look at your smile Not the one on your lips The one in your eyes, I think our eyes Are the thermometer Screaming the temperature of our souls And I am interested In everything inside of you So yeah that is what I do And I talk Not about the weather Not about where you work About what is important to me and you And about my deepest fears And my dearest memories So you can talk about yours And the next time we meet The answer to ‘how are you’ Is not what it should be But what it truly is And I make up stories On how the sun burns with jealousy everyday Because I told him love the moon ( I lied ;) I like the sun too) And how the flowers told me The secrets of the bees And how I saw the rainbow giggling At the warm tickle of the rains And how the dewdrops sing New Melodies on my windowpane And what else, I used to walk slowly with my grandmother Matching her pace Re-living my childhood When she did the same And I like hearing my grandfather’s stories Smitten by his enthusiasm Over and over again I like witnessing stories you see And I stamp them with love Send them straight to my heart When the day is over I make tea And I smudge the days worries With cardomom and clove And take the waft in As if it all belonged to me And if you come home I shall always ask you for tea Because it is not just a drink It is a part of me. And I travel ofcourse In space and time But most of the travel I do in my mind.... And my soul is worn And my feet are torn But with a little love in my heart I look for the unknown So I do that and Probably a little bit more Thankyou for asking  Love is….
We make sense of love As if it was something up there Waiting to be deciphered Love isn’t something We all fall in, Like Gravity. Gravity is different, it follows laws. it has limits. Love is lawless, as the criminal will tell you. Love is something that brews within us A coffee-man would say Or something that makes poetry out of words Ah! a writer’s opinion? Love lubricates our existence The plumber proclaimed. Love intoxicates us like drugs The neuroscientist asserts We need to build on it Contends the rational engineer While the country clown Says love is ‘laughing together’ The melancholy would have love as a stream of sadness The elites, They don’t believe in love The romantic told me Love is life itself. My grandfather knows It is companionship for life I agree. News leaking through the crevices of sanity Broadening trust gaps Questions that seduce and entice Curiosity? It was killed by the cat. Cacophony,rancour,tragedy Reaking of another conspiracy Yet inhaled over and over giving a high, A high on vices that malign With tenacity the mind searches For the absolute truth Peeping into another’s life And the self sits waiting To be rescued of all that is vice The hands that turn the page from 1to 2 Searching for the next news Could go out and save a neighbour too Machines that refuse to speak And a book that won't shut up. The table cloth white but stained With tea marks and sme thoughts Strewn all Over Wild yet beautiful And a pen Red in disguise In the soul blue And a paper Brown that beckons A verse that whispers And demands to be written. Shall we talk of pain That devours the weak And strong Shall we speak of the World And everything that’s wrong? Or shall we talk of wonder Fragrance of fresh oranges The racing of the heart When something demands to be written The curiosity When we notice A singing soul In the corner of a room buzzing with harmonies. Shall we talk of the sea, That you and I fathom with the same eyes The gold on the sand That poets see Or the sun and the moon That Greet us at different times Shall we talk of love That pained us when it made us Or shall we talk of the songs That sung us to sleep When nights drove us insane Shall we talk of home? The one that has stairs That go up and down That let go And invite If you were in the middle Which way would you choose? Shall we ask this? Where were we
When the sun whispered Fresh rays into our windows Were we drowsy? In the dreams of a better future When the present was tickling us with moments that wasted themselves On our numbed worries of the past Where were we when the sea Washed our feet with waters warm and cool Were we looking at the horizon we could not touch And turned deaf to the crescendo of the waves Where were we When the orchards beckoned Smell of fresh apples Did we take to the path Walking, absorbing Or did we hit the road for speed? Where were we? When love came And filled the space between us And our hearts And our soul Saying ‘not now’ Did we let the watch outbeat the heart? Or did we sing? Yes we did. We said Yes. A note high or a note low Or was it the same song All over again It couldn’t have been Every song is different they tell me It must be But are souls different too, Separated like bodies? Or are they connected Through the continuum of emotions Sublimating across age Effervescing through time I do not know I know that there is comfort Because these words Are understood As if they were the missing piece or all of it to come together Shall this last forever? I do not know But I thankyou, For the music And wish you Hey sweet symphony All the melodies Of love And everything deep Happy Birthday! The woman in white and blue!
Did you see the woman? The woman, in white and blue She stopped in the street to find a hue the genuine one and the one unscathed Little did she know She carried it , Right there - In the folds of her heart Every room She went Became full of light With the fragrance Of her smiles And her admonition slight She wonders Why? She does it wrong When she has been Just Perfect All along And there is this man I see on her side Who knew the perfection Right at first sight And I see them Together in love and in fight And they look, Like they are dancing In divine delight And here is a day When they make us a part Of their wonderful time With the love in their hearts And it makes me wonder! Would it be such a chore? If God made People like them Many many more :) I wait for you here.
Where many journeys end. And a new one begins. I wait for you here Beyond this point. There is nothing but the unknown I seek not the security of relationship but the passion of a companion I seek not the mundane but a life of adventure I seek not a home but to taste the sky and earth I seek not promises but a desire for togetherness.
